Refined guitarist with classical background, Walter Lupi is among the most creative acoustic guitar players and music composer, well known in Italy and abroad. In his new released cd "Zumie" Lupi is going back to his origins of composer and solo player with a renewed excursus through his acoustic guitar compositions. On the stage Lupi drives the audience through suggestive musical paths, inspired by his well known melodic composing attitude. Lupi's ability to create a rich sound, also coming from his original fingerstyle attitude, and to alternate pop and classical melodies together with stylistic innovations provide a dynamic and full experience. Lupi's research of new sonorities is not less important than his soloist career: through the use of applied technologies ("Guitar Synth"), he composes rhythmic and harmonic grooves, built with the wise use of "Sequencer" and of his personal "Guitar Percussion", an effective percussive use of his guitar. This research comes out in his CD "Spirali", produced by the musician Mauro Pagani (ex PFM), and in CDs "Music Experience1" and "Music Experience 2". In these last two CDs recently come out, Lupi devotes himself to the composition of a music thought to lead the listener along meditative an contemplative routes.

Hauntingly beautiful may be a cliché but it gains new meaning when I listen to "Poem". The work of a master of the acoustic guitar.
